Jane As millions of Americans are horrified by the violence unleashed on immigrants and innocent protestors, many of us are experiencing emotions of fear, anger, and anxiety. This is a time to lean into the collective warmth, wisdom, courage, and calm of our Beloved Community. These sessions will be small gatherings where we can express all of the emotions that we are experiencing and pray together for the restoration of unity and freedom in our country. Palaver Strings: Based out of Portland, Maine, the Grammy-nominated, musician-led and nonprofit organization Palaver Strings seeks to strengthen and inspire community through music. Committed to performance, education, and creative collaboration, Palaver specializes in programming underrepresented voices. The term “palaver” comes from the term “palaver hut,” a traditional place for discussion and conflict resolution in Liberia and other West African countries.
